Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received EU Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarčič.
The Prime Minister welcomed Mr. Lenarčič’s visit to Armenia in a difficult situation and noted that the support of the international community, including financial, is also needed in order to overcome the crisis caused by the forced displacement of more than 100,000 of our compatriots from Nagorno Karabakh as a result of Azerbaijan's policy of ethnic cleansing. Nikol Pashinyan added that he had fruitful discussions with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in Granada regarding the assessment of existing needs and further assistance.
Janez Lenarčič once again emphasized the commitment of the EU to provide assistance to the Government of Armenia and the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh in order to alleviate and overcome the existing problems.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to further partnership and steps.
