Ursula von der Leyen, President of the EU Commission, referred to the situation in Armenia regarding the influx of forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh.
“The EU stands with Armenia in assisting displaced people, I told Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the phone. We have activated the Civil Protection Mechanism and mobilised humanitarian aid worth €5.2 million. European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic will travel to assess futher needs on Friday”, von der Leyen said in a post on X.
