Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the president of Azerbaijan, head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration, stated in an interview to CBC News that Baku intends to allow the visit of the international group of UN experts to Nagorno-Karabakh within a few days. Foreign media will also have the opportunity to visit the region.
According to Hajiev, Azerbaijan does not aim to force the Armenians of Karabakh to leave this region, on the contrary, it guarantees their safety if they decide to stay. According to Hajiyev, Baku has a comprehensive plan to ensure safe and better living conditions for Karabakh Armenians, but those who don't want to can leave, Hajiyev emphasized.
