The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh continues to be difficult. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced this at the briefing.
“We see that the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is, to put it mildly, difficult. First of all, we want to express our condolences to the families and relatives of those who died as a result of the explosion at the fuel and lubricant depot near Stepanakert on September 25. We wish speedy recovery to all the injured.
Russian peacekeepers actively participated in extinguishing the fire and providing emergency medical aid on the spot.
As a result of this tragic incident, 120 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, who were seriously injured, were evacuated to the territory of Armenia by helicopters of the Russian peacekeeping troops to receive specialized medical care.
We will continue to make all efforts to ensure the normal activity of the population. The main stabilizing factor in the region is the Russian peacekeeping force, which is selflessly fulfilling its duty,” Zakharova said.
