Turkey is interested in the activation of the regional ՛3+3՛ platform and has repeatedly expressed its readiness to hold a summit in this format, the source of the country's president's office told RIA Novosti.
The ՛3+3" platform implies cooperation between Russia, Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia. In December 2022, the first meeting of the ՛3+3՛ consultative regional platform was held in Moscow, under the co-chairing of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey and the Director General of the Foreign Ministry of Iran.
Earlier, the Foreign Ministry of Georgia confirmed that Tbilisi refuses to participate in the regional consultation mechanism. On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi expressed interest in activating the work of the ՛3+3՛ regional consultative platform during a telephone conversation.
