Malta is deeply concerned about the latest military escalation by Azerbaijan against Karabakh Armenians, Foreign Minister Ian Borg said during UN Security Council urgent meeting on Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Malta is deeply concerned about the latest military escalation by Azerbaijan against Karabakh Armenians. We call on both sides to return to direct interaction in good faith and to focus efforts on finding ways for more constructive and positive diplomatic contact. We condemn any act that endangers civilian lives. Malta will continue to fully support the EU leading role in facilitating dialogue between the two sides”, Borg said.
