According to the trilateral statement of November 9, Russia has clear obligations to protect Nagorno-Karabakh, and it does not fulfill them. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, said this within the framework of the Public TV's 'Interview' program. Responding to accusations that the government has ruined Armenian-Russian relations, Grigoryan noted that Russia has been cooperating with Azerbaijan for a long time, they started selling weapons worth $5 billion to Azerbaijan in 2011, and this has been for 12 years.
"Russia has clear obligations to protect Nagorno-Karabakh according to the trilateral statement of November 9. There is a statement of November 9 and the signature of the President of Russia. In other words, is there anything important from that signature? There is a statement of November 9, and the peacekeepers of the Russian Federation have an obligation to protect Nagorno-Karabakh. They do not fulfill that obligation," he said.
Grigoryan emphasized that Azerbaijan has launched a large-scale attack on Nagorno-Karabakh, but the Russian peacekeepers are not carrying out operations, they are spreading a statement that they found out a few minutes ago.
"Actually, we have informed the international community since September 4. You know that Prime Minister Pashinyan sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin in which the situation was fully described. And they have an obligation and they must fulfill it," said the Secretary of the Security Council.
