This was stated by the Swedish MP Charlie Weimers during the discussion on the Azerbaijani attack against Nagorno-Karabakh at the session of the European Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee.
"They fear for their lives... If the ethnic population leaves a region where it has lived since time immemorial, it is ethnic cleansing," said Weimersh, at the same time emphasizing that the EU is not taking any action to stop ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh.
