Anne-Laurence Petel, the president of the France-Armenia friendship group in the French National Assembly, wrote on her

"Alert - As we feared for weeks, Azerbaijan is bombing Stepanakert and other cities of Nagorno-Karabakh from this morning. After the 9-month blockade, due to which the population is starving, the danger of Aliyev's genocide of Artsakh Armenians is greater than ever. An international response is now imperative to stop this disastrous project."
