Gegham Stepanyan, Nagorno-Karabakh Ombudsperson, referred to a photo, on which many families are depicted in Stepanakert airport.
“This photo spread from the Stepankert airport has given some international media the impression that people are leaving by plane. This is not true, the airport has not been operational since the 1990s, it now serves as a headquarters for Russian peacekeepers”, Stepanyan said on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
