The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, answered the question of the Komsomolskaya Pravda reporter about Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum: is there a possibility of a peaceful way out of the current impasse?
"The possibility of a peaceful way out of the impasse was recorded in three documents, which were developed with the mediation of Russia between the parties of this really very complex, already very old and, unfortunately, conflict that continues to this day. In recent years, I would like to emphasize that thanks to the efforts of Moscow and the President of Russia himself, it entered the stage of settlement. Everyone agreed, and after 2020 they repeatedly reaffirmed the relevance of these documents and their historical role, they just need to be implemented.
As for rhetoric, we regularly hear it from different sides, both from representatives of the government and from people representing political circles. The rhetoric should be such that it contributes to the settlement of the situation. Everyone has already learned to inflame and disconnect. Not everyone knows how to reconcile, help, restore and unite. This is what we should strive for," Zakharova said.
