The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during the press conference held within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum, referred to the Baku-Ankara military cooperation and Ankara's possible role in the process of regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
"We convey our position on problematic issues to the party to whom we have questions. In this case, to Turkey. No external influence or participation shall occur without the consent of the parties contrary to or to the detriment of existing agreements. We are worried about any weapons that are delivered to the conflict zone, because it leads to the escalation of the conflict."
She noted that when it comes to calls for peace, Moscow supports Ankara's actions. "When they contradict Moscow's position or harm the implementation of agreements, we speak frankly about it with our Turkish partners," Zakharova noted.
