Members of Parliament on Wednesday held a moment of silence to commemorate the victims of the 2022 September attack by Azerbaijani armed forces against Armenia.
“One year ago, the Republic of Armenia came under attack, and we had over 200 victims,” Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan said at the plenary session of parliament and proposed to hold a moment of silence in commemoration.
In the early hours of September 13, 2022, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces launched a major attack against Armenia in the directions of Goris, Sotk and Jermuk. The Azerbaijani forces used artillery and drone strikes in the assault. 224 people, including 3 civilians, were killed. 3 servicemen are missing in action.
