Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the president of Azerbaijan, gave an interview to Reuters and spoke about the increase in tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Hajiyev, commenting on the movement of large-scale Azerbaijani military equipment, stated that the armed forces of Azerbaijan are conducting planned exercises to prepare for the autumn-winter season, and this is a part of the planning process.
At the same time, he presented false accusations to the Armenian side regarding the accumulation of troops on the border, also complaining that Armenia is acquiring new weapons.
The assistant of the President of Azerbaijan emphasized that their strategy is to prevent any armed action and provocation against Azerbaijan.
