The situation in borderline is tense, but relatively stable, Armenia’s Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan said this within the framework of the ‘Interview’ program of the Public Television Company, noting that the situation can escalate again at any moment. According to Simonyan, there is a large crowd at the border, the skirmish has stopped, but the tension continues.
The Speaker of the National Assembly, referring to the steps taken in the direction of strengthening the army, noted.
“We are making great investments, efforts and work. During today's incident, even Armenian-made weapons were used.”
On September 1, from 7:50 a.m., units of the Azerbaijani military fired at the Armenian positions in the Sotk and Norabak sectors, using mortars and anti-aircraft guns in addition to firearms of various calibers. The Armenian side has 3 victims and 2 wounded.
