The Government of Armenia has sent the Rome Statute to Parliament for ratification, 'Lurer' was informed by the Information and Public Relations Department of Armenia's Prime Minister's Office.
The Armenian Government re-launched the process of ratifying the Rome Statute in December 2022.
Then, the Pashinyan Administration explained that it seeks to join the Rome Statute because it would allow to hold the government of Azerbaijan to account.
The Constitutional Court of Armenia on March 24 ruled that the Rome Statute - the treaty that established the International Criminal Court (ICC) on July 17, 1998 – complies with the Constitution of Armenia.
