Our message is clear and simple - we call first of all to respect international law, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo announced at the press conference organized in Syunik Province.

The adviser to the UN Secretary-General, who is responsible for the prevention of genocide, uses the same word to describe what is happening today: genocide by an authoritarian regime, ethnic cleansing of a people who are simply demanding their rights, and the rights that any man, any people.
It is this situation that we have come here to witness and condemn, and we also appeal to the French President to use the position that France has at the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution to respect the rights of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh,” Hidalgo stated.
