This morning, ten trucks with humanitarian cargo sent to Nagorno-Karabakh from French cities moved from Yerevan to the Kornidzor checkpoint, the starting point of the Lachin Corridor. The humanitarian aid was allocated by the City of Paris, the regions of Île-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Hauts-de-France, Occitania and Pays de la Loire.
The Armenian Government sent 361 tons of humanitarian aid to Nagorno-Karabakh, but the convoy of trucks has been standing at the entrance to the Lachin Corridor since July 26, because Azerbaijan prohibits their entry to Nagorno-Karabakh.
The first truck with humanitarian aid from France joined the convoy of trucks with aid sent by Armenia on August 9.
Today, the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, is arriving in Armenia to visit the starting point of the Lachin Corridor, to accompany the convoy with humanitarian cargo from the French side.
