Governor of Syunik, Robert Ghukasyan, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nagorno-Karabakh, Sergey Ghazaryan, and the head of the Goris community, Arush Arushanyan, welcomed the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and the members of the delegation headed by her, the Facebook page of the Syunik governor's office reports.
According to the report, Anne Hidalgo accompanies the convoy of 10 trucks, which delivers humanitarian aid for Nagorno-Karabakh to Kornidzor. The aid was allocated by the the City of Paris, the regions of Île-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Hauts-de-France, Occitania and Pays de la Loire.
Ten trucks with humanitarian cargo sent to Nagorno-Karabakh from French cities moved from Yerevan in the morning to the Kornidzor checkpoint, the starting point of the Lachin Corridor. The humanitarian aid was allocated by the the the City of Paris, the regions of Île-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Hauts-de-France, Occitania and Pays de la Loire.
The first truck with humanitarian aid from France joined the convoy of trucks with aid sent by Armenia on August 9.
Earlier, the Government of Armenia sent 361 tons of humanitarian aid to Nagorno-Karabakh, but the convoy of trucks has been standing at the entrance to the Lachin Corridor since July 26, because Azerbaijan prohibits their entry into Nagorno-Karabakh.
