Anne Hidalgo, mayor of Paris, published a photo taken in Armenia on her
X page, writing:
"I am in Armenia with the elected officials of Paris and other communities. 120,000 Armenians of Artsakh, including 30,000 children, have been isolated, starving and deprived of everything for 9 months. Due to this humanitarian disaster, we are providing them with humanitarian aid. Time is counted," Hidalgo tweeted.
The Armenian Government sent 361 tons of humanitarian aid to Nagorno-Karabakh, but the convoy of trucks has been standing at the entrance to the Lachin Corridor since July 26, because Azerbaijan prohibits their entry to Nagorno-Karabakh.
The first truck with humanitarian aid from France joined the convoy of trucks with aid sent by Armenia on August 9.
Today, the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, is arriving in Armenia to visit the starting point of the Lachin Corridor, to accompany the convoy with humanitarian cargo from the French side.
