Our goal is to get French diplomacy out of its comfort zone and into action. Patrick Karam, a member of the Île-de-France regional council of France, announced this during the press conference organized in Syunik province, referring to the call to President Macron so that the latter use France's position at the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
Patrick Karam also conveyed the greetings of Valérie Pécresse, President of the Île-de-France Regional Council of France, to the President of Nagorno-Karabakh, then reminded how the latter entered Nagorno-Karabakh at the cost of her life in 2021, after which the President of Azerbaijan threatened her.
“I also want to add that I have appealed to my lawyer, who is accredited to the International Criminal Court, to file a complaint against the President of Azerbaijan Aliyev. The goal is to target the President himself, Aliyev himself. He is the tyrant and we have to fight against him,” said Patrick Karam.
The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, for her part, reaffirmed that they did not come to solve political issues, but to lift the blockade and allow the population of Nagorno-Karabakh to live in dignity.
“We will make your voice heard wherever we are,” the Mayor of Paris concluded the press conference.
