Residents of the Askeran region of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) have blocked the Askeran-Aghdam road since yesterday in order to prevent the entry of cargo sent by the Azerbaijani side to Nagorno-Karabakh. Residents have set up tents and are on duty.
Hamlet Apresyan, the head of the administration of the Askeran region of Nagorno-Karabakh, presented details of the situation during a telephone conversation with ‘Lurer’.
“It's quiet now. We have set up tents near our checkpoint, now a group of citizens is there,” said Hamlet Apresyan, then added. “The duty is there and will continue until this issue is completely solved.”
On August 29, Azerbaijanis crossed the checkpoint of Russian peacekeepers and tried to set up tents, while the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh prevented their trucks from entering Nagorno-Karabakh.
