On the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron, a telephone conversation was held with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. According to the report, during the conversation, the situation in the region was discussed, as well as the opening of the Lachin Corridor and the Aghdam-Stepanakert road.
Aliyev noted that "after the opening of the Aghdam-Stepanakert road, the Lachin-Stepanakert road can be used in compliance with the rules of the border and customs regimes of Azerbaijan."
Macron, for his part, announced that France is ready to contribute to the stabilization of the situation and the elimination of existing tensions, he suggested continuing contacts between the relevant structures of France and Azerbaijan.
