On August 31, at 21:10 (23:10 Yerevan time), French state TV France 2 will air the special edition of the famous "Grand Echiquier" program dedicated to Armenia, which will enable the French-language TV viewers to discover the cultural wealth of the Armenian people.
The program was filmed in one of France's most famous historical sites, the Versailles Palace.
This exclusive evening, hosted by prominent TV journalist Claire Chazal and famous French-Armenian musician, pianist André Manoukian, aims to inform the French public about the humanitarian situation in Nagorno Karabakh as a result of the blockade by Azerbaijan since December 2022.
In order to express their support to Armenia, famous singers Patrick Fiori and Hélène Ségara take part in the special edition of Grand Echiquier, comedians Mathieu Madénian humorist and actor Pascal Légitimus, playwright and actor Simon Abgarian, singer Patrick Brüll, renowned director Robert Gedikian and many other cultural figures enjoying great prestige in their spheres of activity.
Among the special guests of the issue are the famous traveller, writer and philosopher Sylvain Tesson and Jean-Christophe Buisson, the periodical deputy director of Le Figaro Magazine, who will thoroughly represent French TV viewers the challenges facing the Republic of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
During the evening, in the presence of his son Nikola Aznavour, tribute will also be paid to the world-famous Charles Aznavour through original performances of his works "Ave Maria" and "They Fell (Ils sont tombés)".
