On August 21, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan spread another false message that the relevant units of the Defense Army suppressed the GPS positioning system of the civilian aircraft flying on the Fizuli-Baku route between 10:15 p.m. and 10:23 p.m. on August 21.
“The statement of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, which has nothing to do with reality, cannot withstand professional examination. As we have already mentioned before, the aircraft flying on the mentioned route does not cross the air borders of the Republic of Artsakh. By periodically spreading such false statements, Azerbaijan aims to divert the attention of the international community from the humanitarian disaster that is deepening day by day as a result of the illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor.
It is not superfluous to remind again that in 2020 throughout the war operations and after that, it was the Azerbaijani side that consistently targeted the civil infrastructure of the Republic of Artsakh by blocking the Lachin Corridor, disrupting the gas and electricity supply lines and suppressing the access to the Internet and mobile communications,” the NK Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
