Ten patients from the Republican Medical Center in Nagorno-Karabakh have been evacuated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to Armenia for treatment, the Nagorno-Karabakh Ministry of Healthcare said Saturday.
Another nine patients who have completed treatment in Armenia, together with their attendants, will be transported back to Nagorno-Karabakh by the ICRC later on Saturday, the ministry added.
“The Azerbaijani side is continuously prohibiting Red Cross supplies of essential medication and medical items to Artsakh, while numerous patients are still waiting to be transported to Armenia for treatment, and for their return to Artsakh following the treatment. 26 children are now hospitalized in the Arevik clinic, 7 of whom are in neonatal and intensive care. 82 patients are hospitalized in the Republican Medical Center, 6 of whom are in serious condition under intensive care,” the Nagorno-Karabakh Ministry of Healthcare said.
