Polish defence minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that additional 10.000 soldiers are to be deployed on the border with Belarus. Blaszczak gave an interview today to the First Channel of the Polish Public Radio.
"This presence will be more or less what it was before, when there was a (hybrid) attack in 2021, which is about 10,000 soldiers. 4,000 soldiers will be directly involved in the operation concerning the support of Border Guards. Remaining 6,000 will be on stand-by. These soldiers will improve their skills in the garrisons reinstated in the east of our country by the government of Law and Justice", Blaszczak said.
