On August 9, the Vice President of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to the Republic of Armenia Riina Kaljurand.
The parties discussed issues regarding regional developments.
Ruben Rubinyan introduced the situation created in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of the illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan and the deepening humanitarian crisis. The NA Vice President underscored the necessity for international partners to take clear steps to prevent ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh.
At the Ambassador’s request, Ruben Rubinyan touched upon the process of normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations as well.
