Rescuers discovered the bodies of four more people in the landslide-hit racha-Lechkhumi's Shovi resort of the Oni municipality in Georgia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported, confirming the rise of the death toll to six, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports.
The MIA safely evacuated 140 more people from the disaster area and reported no touch with 35 missing persons.
To aid in the rescue efforts, the Emergency Situations Management Service despatched a team of cynologists accompanied by highly trained dogs.
Police personnel from Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi, and Kvemo Svaneti regions, as well as two Border Police helicopters, continue search and rescue operations.
The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Irakli Karseladze, stated that a temporary bridge will be erected by the end of the day.
On August 3, a landslide struck the Shovi resort.
