Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili declared Monday, August 7, a Day of Mourning after a deadly landslide in Georgia’s Racha region killed seven, Georgian Public TV reports.
The PM and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili arrived in the landslide-hit Shovi resort, saying the rescue efforts would continue over the weekend.
On August 3, a landslide ravaged the Oni Municipality’s Shovi resort.
