“As a general matter, the United States remains deeply concerned about Azerbaijan's continued closure of the Lachin corridor to commercial, humanitarian, and private vehicles. The halting of humanitarian traffic exacerbates a worsening humanitarian situation and undermines efforts to establish confidence in the peace process.
Free transit of commercial, humanitarian, and private vehicles through the Lachin corridor must be restored immediately.
We have consistently maintained that peace in the region must include protections for the rights and security of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh. We welcome dialogue that furthers this goal”, Department of State said.
