68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan, who was being transported from Artsakh to Armenia for treatment, accompanied by the International Committee of the Red Cross, was kidnapped by the representatives of the border guard service of Azerbaijan and taken to an unknown direction, Human Rights Defender of Nagorno-Karabakh Gegham Stepanyan wrote in Facebook.
"None of the relatives, ICRC representatives, or Russian peacekeepers are accompanying Vagif Khachatryan. At the moment, his fate is unknown.
The human rights defender of the Republic of Artsakh continues collecting facts about the incident," Geghamyan stated.
