The humanitarian cargo intended for Nagorno-Karabakh is still in the border area of Kornidzor. Vardan Sargsyan, the representative of the humanitarian crisis management working group in Nagorno-Karabakh, said that the trucks are standing still, there is no movement, and the closed corridor of Lachin is in the visible distance.
According to Sargsyan, the visit of diplomats and representatives of international structures to Kornidzor was a good opportunity for them to witness, despite the claims that the Lachin Corridor is open for the movement of trucks and people, it is actually closed.
According to Sargsyan, this visit will help international partners to understand the situation much better and more thoroughly.
“Our main goal remains the same, our efforts regarding the transfer of humanitarian cargo to NK are continuous, we hope that the reactions will turn into more effective steps, and all this will contribute to the issue of transferring humanitarian cargo to NK,” he said.
Was there a response from Azerbaijan? Sargsyan answered this question:
“The responses from Azerbaijan so far cannot be called ‘constructive’ in any way, they often have a provocative nature, and the accusations that the Armenian side is resorting to provocation in the process of moving humanitarian cargo to Nagorno-Karabakh, apparently, can be perceived in the opposite way. Because our exclusively humanitarian process is met with a provocative and non-constructive response by Azerbaijan itself.”
He added that the answers were mostly unconstructive. Turning to the reactions of the Russian side, Sargsyan noted:
“As you know, the Russian side is waiting for the response to the application in accordance with our established procedure, which has already been mentioned many times.”
