Freedom House international human rights organization has urged Azerbaijan to allow to provide vital humanitarian assistance to Nagorno-Karabakh that has been under blockade by more than six months.
The organization has also called on Azerbaijan to immediately work to ensure freedom of movement by opening the Lachin corridor, guaranteeing unrestricted movement of individuals, vehicles and cargo.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) had stated that, despite persistent efforts, they are currently unable to deliver aid through the Lachin Corridor and other routes, including Aghdam.
“Our concern is that the humanitarian situation will further deteriorate,” the ICRC had said.
