A leading social media analyst on Monday (July 24) questioned the reasoning behind a Twitter rebrand, saying many issues the social media app has faced over recent months will remain, Reuters reports.
On Sunday (July 23) Twitter owner Elon Musk revealed that Twitter will be replacing its well-known blue bird logo with an X.
Speaking from London, social media commentator Drew Benvie said the move could lose the social media app a lot of credibility which it has spent years building.
Benvie said changing the logo seemed to be aimed at aligning it under Musk's other ventures like SpaceX.
