Andrey Kovatchev, Rapporteur on Armenia at European Parliament, referred to the latest negotiations between Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders in Brussels and the blockade of Lachin Corridor.
“It is encouraging to see progress on some of the most important points in peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan facilitated by Charles Michel. The negotiations between the two countries must continue, while in parallel the blockade of the Lachin Corridor must be lifted.
The blockade of the Lachin Corridor needs to end as soon as possible and all illegal checkpoints must be removed. The population of Nagorno Karabakh has to be able to access humanitarian aid and basic supplies must reach them to avoid a fully fledged humanitarian crisis”, Kovatchev tweeted.
