Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, on Monday received Matthias Luttenberg, Political Director for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
The interlocutors exchanged views on regional security issues, in the context of which the Security Council chief presented the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh, stressing that there is a need to unite the efforts of the international community in order to prevent the Armenian ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan.
Also, Grigoryan lauded the presence of the EU civilian monitoring mission in Armenia, emphasizing its impact on maintaining regional security.
