Albania has supported and will support the establishment of long-term peace in the South Caucasus through the mediation of reliable partners and international organizations. Albania has always supported the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions, the President of Albania Bayram Begay stated today at the end of negotiations with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
"President Aliyev and I also discussed the war in Ukraine. The participation of our countries in the conference dedicated to the restoration of Ukraine is an indicator of our desire to see Ukraine peaceful and developed. At the moment, we once again express our support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine," Begay continued.
Touching upon the issues of bilateral cooperation, in addition to the gas sector, he also noted the potential for the development of ties in the field of tourism.
