On June 27, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Singapore Serob Bejanyan (residence in Jakarta) presented the credentials to President of the Republic of Singapore Halimah Yacob.
President Halimah Yacob congratulated Ambassador Bejanyan on the occasion of his appointment, wishing him fruitful work in Singapore.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm wishes, Serob Bejanyan assured that he will make maximum efforts to expand the bilateral agenda.
During the conversation Serob Bejanyan comprehensively described the developments occurring in the South Caucasus region, emphasizing the continuous aggressive actions of Azerbaijan since 2020 towards the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia and the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. Particular attention was drawn to the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor, connecting Nagorno-Karabakh with the rest of the world for more than 6 months and the encirclement of the 120000 people of Artsakh.
Ambassador Bejanyan presented the vision of the Republic of Armenia to achieve stability and lasting peace in the region and the efforts made towards that direction.
