The Republic of Armenia is not going to launch military operations. Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan said this in a briefing with journalists at the National Assembly.
“With all possible international mechanisms, we must reach the point that Armenia and Azerbaijan sign a long-term, reliable, internationally authoritative agreement under the guarantor of any country, structure, format and ensure the realization of the rights and freedoms of the Armenian people living in Nagorno-Karabakh. We are working in that direction,” he said.
As for the issue of Azerbaijan's recognition of the territorial integrity of Armenia, Alen Simonyan said that Azerbaijan's President Aliyev presents a different form of formulation regarding this issue, he says that he does not have any territorial claims against Armenia. “I don't know if I have the right to say that or not, during a closed meeting he also accepts and has accepted the territorial integrity of Armenia in a digital format.”
