Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The message says:
"Your Highness,
Today marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates.
Friendly ties between the Armenian and Arab peoples have a centuries-old history, and today we are also proud to witness and participate in such a phase of dynamic development of interstate relations, in which development perspectives are evident.
We can report with satisfaction that the joint commission for trade, economic and technical cooperation between our governments was established in 2019 and is effectively functioning, and the trade turnover between our countries has registered a record figure in the last two years.
Today, the United Arab Emirates is one of Armenia's important partners, not only in terms of implementing mutually beneficial projects of regional importance and revitalizing the business atmosphere, but also in terms of deepening intercivilizational dialogue.
I sincerely hope that with joint efforts in the coming years, we will be able to enrich the Armenian-Emirati bilateral cooperation agenda with new initiatives and programs for the benefit of our states and friendly peoples.
Taking this opportunity, I reaffirm my commitment to make personal efforts to strengthen and deepen cooperation between our countries based on respect and mutual trust."
