The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia referred to the situation in the country, noted that the public rejects the attempted uprising and strongly supports President Putin.
"The conspirators' adventurous aspirations are, in fact, aimed at destabilizing the situation in Russia, destroying our unity, disrupting the efforts of the Russian Federation to ensure reliable international security. Thus, the rebellion is beneficial to Russia's external enemies.
We warn Western countries to refrain from any hint of possible use of the internal Russian situation to achieve their anti-Russian goals. Such attempts are unpromising and will not find a response either in Russia or abroad among sane political forces. We are sure that the situation will be resolved in the near future," said the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The Foreign Ministry: "All the goals and objectives of the special military operation will be fulfilled."
