On June 21, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Armenia, Dr. Nariman Mohd Sharif Abdulla AlMulla, handed over a copy of her credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan.
The Deputy Minister extended his congratulations to Ambassador AlMulla on the occasion of her appointment and conveyed his best wishes for a successful and productive tenure in her important mission. Vahan Kostanyan expressed his high regard for the current level of friendly relations between Armenia and the UAE, and expressed confidence that Ambassador AlMulla would contribute to further expanding the bilateral agenda.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception and good wishes, the newly appointed UAE Ambassador affirmed her commitment to exerting every effort towards advancing the multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and the UAE.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including the potential for joint projects across various fields
The sides touched upon a number of issues of the regional and international agenda. The Deputy Foreign Minister provided Ambassador AlMulla with an overview of Armenia's position on stability and peace in the South Caucasus, particularly in relation to the situation arising from Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor.
