About 80 percent of the calculations between Russia and China are made in Russian rubles and Chinese yuan, and about 90 percent of the calculations in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) are made in rubles. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Putin noted that Russia has increased its trade with friendly countries several times, reports RIA Novosti.
"With some such countries, whose leaders are not subjected to external pressure, are not guided by foreign interests, but by their own national interests. The amount of our mutual trade has increased not even by dozens of percent, but by several times," said the Russian president.
According to him, this amount continue to grow.
