Azerbaijan, by constantly spreading fake news over the past week, is creating a base so that it can present its own provocative actions as pre-aggressive actions of the Armenian side. During the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session, Defense Minister of Armenia Suren Papikyan stated this while responding to the question of Alkhas Ghazaryan, deputy of the ‘Civil Contract’ faction, about the reasons for the ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan and the disinformation spread.
“The Ministry of Defense always comes out with proper messages and what is happening on the border is presented to our public. The reason for all this is the goals of the Azerbaijani side to demonstrate that the Armenian side has a tendency to certain aggressive actions. There is no such thing. The Armenian side will continue to promote the peace agenda at the negotiation table in accordance with all our statements, and of course also to protect the sovereign territory of our country,” said Suren Papikyan.
