The damage caused by explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant will be about $14 billion, Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Oleksiy Makeev said in an interview with Funke media group on Saturday.
Report informs that, according to Makeev, the damage to the fish industry due to the loss of biological resources will be serious.
“Expenses for the speedy restoration of Ukraine this year alone amounted to $14.1 billion,” the ambassador said, noting that $3.3 billion of this amount has already been allocated to the country’s budget.
He stressed that more than 20,000 hectares of farmland have become unexploited for many years.
