In the context of the actions of the EU and the USA, a question arises regarding their drastic activation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced this at the weekly briefing.
“Previously, especially from the EU, no one showed much interest in Transcaucasian issues. Now, most likely, the situation has changed,” she said.
“Historical experience shows that peace resolutions imposed from the outside, especially those proposed and promoted by an accelerated regime, have never led to anything good.
You must know the history of the region, the history of the conflict, the history of the peoples, you must feel deeply and, most importantly, be disposed to a truly peaceful settlement. It is equally important that the desire to achieve this particular task is sincere,” said Zakharova.
