In general, we evaluate the meeting positively, because I think this is a good opportunity to push forward the agenda that exists, that is, the peace agenda. Commenting on the Pashinyan-Aliyev-Michel-Macron-Scholz meeting held in Chisinau in an interview with ‘Lurer’ Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of Security Council of Armenia said.
He emphasized that the international community's support for the peace agenda is very important.
“All issues on the agenda have been touched upon, i.e. de-blockade, border delimitation, demarcation, settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. Our emphasis is that an international mechanism should be created and Stepanakert and Baku discuss security and rights. We also addressed humanitarian issues, which is very important in order to be able to find solutions to humanitarian issues.
We can consider progress to a certain extent, that there was a discussion, and some issues were clarified, but unless the issues are resolved, we cannot say that these discussions have finally yielded their results. However, there were very important discussions, which provide an opportunity to settle all the issues I mentioned,” said Armen Grigoryan.
He noted that it was possible to reach a certain agreement on the map as a basis fot the delimitation.
“We have made some progress regarding the border delimitation with regard to the 1975 map, but we cannot say that the issue has been finally resolved,” said the Secretary of the Security Council.
