Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council addressed the issue of prisoners held in Azerbaijan at an interview with ‘Lurer’.
‘Last year in April, when the meeting took place in Brussels, the President of Azerbaijan Aliyev promised President Michel to release 10 prisoners. More than a year has passed, and the prisoners have not been released,” the Security Council Secretary reminded.
According to him, the Armenian side raises this issue all the time. “In general, we are very consistent, so that all the agreements made in any format are implemented. For the Armenian side, these agreements are important because it is a matter of prestige. Our international partners should be very attentive to this issue, because by doing so, they also show how international mechanisms work and how the international community responds to its obligations,” he said.
