Drone footage shot on Saturday (June 3) showed the extent of the passenger train collision in eastern India which has killed nearly 300, Reuters reports.
Derailed and crushed carriages could be seen along the tracks in Odisha state where the two trains collided on Friday (June 2). In the footage, crowds were seen gathering at the crash site search and rescue operations were underway.
The train crash happened at about 19:00 local time (1330 GMT) on Friday (June 2) when the Howrah Superfast Express, running from Bangalore to Howrah, West Bengal, collided with the Coromandel Express, which runs from Kolkata to Chennai.
At least 288 people were killed, and 850 left injured in the collision that marks the country’s deadliest to date.
